the organic process of capturing light on film is at a molecular level and far surpasses any form of image capturing that electronics can ever provide.

Why film? You ask.

There are always new digital cameras being released boasting of a higher resolution. A good film camera will last forever. Just add film.

There are limited shades of greys on a digital sensor. But on a film camera, there are theoretically infinite shades of grey.

You build a relationship with a film camera, by loading the film, and then taking the film to process. It develops patience, teaches you to cope with disappointment. You learn from mistakes because each bad photo is a painful lesson.

The feeling of looking at your photos after they come back from the lab is simply therapeutic. With digital, everything is too fast, you delete what you don’t like and you take another. There is less emotion involved.

Film is more organic, it is more physical and more romantic.
